Driving Code
Participants are subject to the road traffic laws applicable in Germany and must observe full compliance with same. You drive at your own risk and are personally responsible
for the road-worthiness of your vehicle with respect to road safety. The StVO (Road Traffic Regulations) are valid for the complete route. The respective traffic rules applicable
at the event location must be strictly observed: violations can lead to disqualification.
On both traffic regulating and optical grounds (re. photographers, television etc.) it is urgently requested that service vehicles maintain a distance of at least 100 metres
behind a participant.
Awards
- Herkomer challenge cup with winner’s certificate.
- Prizes for the six best placed vehicles and class winners (A, B, and C).
- Special prizes in accordance with the donors’ criteria.
Protests
As the Herkomer-Konkurrenz is not a rally undertaken under FIVA rules no protests will be accepted.
Liability
Participants (driver, co-driver, passengers) always take part in the event at their own risk and themselves bear responsibility for the road worthiness of their vehicle. The
organizer is, on principle, liable for damages caused by gross or malicious dereliction of duty by employees. The organizer is also liable for damages arising from injury to
life, limb or health resulting from gross negligence. Otherwise any liability on the part of same is excluded.
General
Only the official event management is authorized to give binding information. Force majeure and official regulations release the organizer and the technical route manager
from adherence to their obligations. Should there be good reason the organizer and technical route management reserve the right to call off the event or to make changes with
respect to the route, timetable etc.
Advertising of any kind on participating cars is not permissible; with trucks the old (original) advertisement might be accepted.
Accommodation
Each participant is personally responsible for booking accommodation: overnight costs are not included in the entry fee! You will find useful tips via the advertisements in
the Announcement. Of course employees of the Landsberg am Lech Tourist Information office, which you can reach in the historic Town Hall at 152 Hauptplatz, 86899 Landsberg
am Lech, will be only too glad to help you.
