Looking toward the future HERKOMER KONKURRENZ 2005 - 2006 - 2007 The relationship between Hubert von Herkomer and Landsberg has always been close. Landsberg am Lech was not just the location where an automobile rally was held. It was here in Landsberg, that Herkomer built his domicile together with his famous atelier, the Mutterturm (the Mother's Tower), in the year 1907, Landsberg made Herkomer an honorary citizen.
The upcoming Jubilee 2005 - 2006 - 2007 opens new dimensions to the Herkomer Konkurrenz. The town of Landsberg, together with Organizer mrs. Corinna Illia and sport journalist and tour leader Ulf von Malberg, present the triologie of 100th Anniversary Jubilee Herkomer Konkurrenz. For the second time, Organizer Mrs. Corinna Illia and tour leader Ulf von Malberg will wave the starting flag for vehicles in the categories A, B, and C (models built up to 1930). This popular decision is sure to attract numerous old timer fans to the two day long event. In Commemoration of this 100rd anniversary the Audi AG invites the Particioants to attend an event on the eve of the Herkomer-Konkurrenz 2006 at the Meseum Mobile in Ingolstadt, e.g. on July 26, 2006. This followes by a touristic leg of 116 kilometers from Ingolstadt to Landsberg am lech on July 27, 2006.
The core event of the Herkomer-Konkurrenz will be two touristic legs of 93,5 and 109 kilometers an july 28th and July 29th, respectively. For a ratin a few questions and tasks will be slipped in. Both start and finish will be held in the picturesque medieval town Landsberg am Lech. At critical sections en route there will be service cars for towing those veteran cars with insufficient motor or braking power. A wide variety of entertainment and cultural events are planned for the 100th Jubilee of the Herkomer Konkurrenz, making an exciting framework for the numerous historic automobiles taking part in the Jubilee. Every old timer afficionado’s heart will beat faster with names like Stevens-Duryea, Daglisch Gullane, Lorely Brasier, N.A.G. Puck and many others models awaiting your attendance at the 100th Jubilee Herkomer Konkurrenz, July 26-30, 2006 in Landsberg am Lech.
