The oldest rally for touring cars, the „Herkomer-Konkurrenz“, was held from 1905 to 1907. It had been initiated by Sir Hubert von Herkomer who was born in Waal near Landsberg amLech. In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the 1906 event the City of Landsberg amLechin co-operation with the Bayerische Automobilclub (BAC) in the AVD and under the patronage of
Seine Königliche Hoheit Luitpold Prinz von Bayern

organises the second Jubilee Herkomer-Konkurrenz from July 26 through 30, 2006.
This event is published internationally for motor cars in accordance with the FIVA Categories A – C (up to the year of manufacture of 1930).
